3-6 gr ELPAC Boot Camp, March, 19 from 3:00 - 3:45 and March 21 2:30 - 3:15

Dear Parents and Guardians of English Learners,

With great excitement, I announce our first ELPAC Boot Camp here at Meadow Park. As your EL Lead Teacher, I will work closely with Mrs. Yasmine (Instructional Assistant) and Mrs. Taketani to develop an ELPAC preparation course to help support your child through the assessment process. 

We aim to help our English Language students feel at ease with the test and prepare them for the four domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Once your child completes the ELPAC, scores an overall score of 4 in all domains, and meets the four criteria, the reclassification process will begin. 

The ELPAC Boot Camp will begin the first week in March (see dates below) and continue until the ELPAC assessment begins the week of March 25, 2024. 

ELPAC Boot Camp Weeks at a Glance:

• Week one: Domain Focus - Speaking & Listening on March 4 & 7 from 3:00 - 3:45
• Week two: Domain Focus - Reading on March 12 & 14 from 3:00 - 3:45
• Week three: Domain Focus - Writing on March 19 from 3:00 - 3:45; March 21 from 2:30 - 3:15
• Week four: ELPAC Assessment - March 25 - 28
• The ELPAC Boot Camp Celebration will be in April; the date and time will be coming soon.
